San Francisco is the city on the bay and you can really enjoy a good vacation in this city with its cool ocean breezes and rolling hills. The city can be experienced by those with or without a budget, so don't worry it can be easy on the wallet if you know what you are planning on seeing before you go. The city is also full of some of the most interesting museums and art galleries. Those with kids or who are kids at heart might enjoy checking out the Cartoon Art Museum. It displays all the different kinds of cartoon artwork in its original form. The museum is on Mission Street and has special admission prices for kids and seniors. The Legion of Honor is an art museum with a range of artwork from 4000 years. It holds Rodin's famous 'The Thinker' sculpture in its courtyard. Kids 12 and under get in free. To make a double history trip take a visit to the Holocaust Museum across the street. Golden Gate Park is the largest man-made ornamental park in the world. It makes a great place to take the family for a full day of enjoyment at the park. You can eat wander among the ponds and water features, then eat some more. The park is over 1,000 square acres and is just full of Cypress, Pine and Eucalyptus trees. Since the area was originally sand dunes and dust, much of the flora wouldn't be around without the devoted care of the San Francisco Park and Recreation Department.
